At the foot of the Serra d’Ivrea, a morainic ridge, not far from Lake Viverone, this family-run farm has been making honey for about 25 years, though the family’s passion for bees goes back to the 1970s. Organic certified since  2010, it is able to produce a huge variety of honeys, partly thanks to the rich vegetation of the morainic amphitheatre in which it is situated, partly thanks to the fact that it practices summer nomadism in the Valle di Gressoney, the Val d’Ayas and the Val Chiusella up to altitudes of close on 2,000 metres. The finest and most popular flavours are rhododendron and mountain wild flower, followed by acacia, chestnut and, in good years, dandelion and cherry. Collaborations with beekeepers in other Italian regions allows the farm to expand its offer to include citrus and Mediterranean scrub honeys. At the farm shop, through a network of specialised outlets and by e-commerce, it is also possible to buy other honey-based specialties such as spreading creams (which come in four flavours: pistachio, hazelnut, cocoa and blueberry), sweets, chocolates, vinegars and grappas. An interesting line of health and wellness products such as royal jelly, propolis and pollen is also available.  e polline.
