Immersed among the cherry orchards in the hills round Pecetto, this versatile agricultural cooperative has thirty members in the local area. It performs numerous activities, ranging from the production and sale of organic fruit and vegetables to their processing into products in glass jars, some on commission. It has always been involved in social work and its production staff includes a number of disadvantaged people. In addition to seasonal produce, the attractive shop also stocks local excellences such as free-range poultry, charcuterie and cheese, honey, rice, tomato passatas, sauces, condiments, sweet and sour preserves, pickles, vegetables in oil, biscuits, specialities from the Province of Turin Basket of Typical Products, fruit tarts made with stone-ground heirloom flours, extra virgin olive oil, and eggs, all from sustainable farms. The true star of the range, however, is the prized Pecetto cherry: hence compotes, jams, juices, nectars, cherries preserved in syrup, liqueur cherries and liqueurs. The cooperative’s latest project, CircOlare!, a line of cosmetics made with the by-products of cherry growing. Open all year from Wednesday to Saturday.
