Giuliano Bosio’s father was a labourer and a peasant and his mother was a housewife with a passion for growing fruit and vegetables. Though he graduated in Political Science, Giuliano decided to devote himself to salvaging and cultivating old vineyards and olive groves. In 2003 he gave life to this small family farm in the hills above Almese, where the land enjoys an excellent aspect. To preserve biodiversity and favour a circular economy, he avoids exploiting the soil intensively. All the work in the vineyards and olive groves is carried out by hand and yields are deliberately kept low to optimise the quality of the wine and the oil.

Production concentrates on wines made with rare native Susa Valley grapes and fine oils made with leccino and peranzana olives. The five standout wines are made with the baratuciat grape: three still (Gesia veja, Autvin and Gesia veja, aged four years in the bottle), a passito (A passeggio) and a Metodo Classico spumante (Cin cin nato). The range also comprises a still red wine (El Prussian) made exclusively with the becuet grape, another made with 40% avanà and 60% becuet, and a monovarietal Nebbiolo.

The wines have been acclaimed nationally and internationally.
