Everything began in the 1960s in the old Poggio piola, or tavern, in Turin. After various changes in management, Michela Di Somma opened an enoteca there in 2004. Then, in 2023, she and Giuseppe Poggio moved the business to these well-stocked premises in Rivoli.
Since then, with the help of Eleonora Zarauti, the hard-working owners have given their all to meet their customers’ every demand. On the shelves you’ll find a vast selection of Italian and overseas wines, including French labels from Champagne, Bordeaux and Burgundy, plus others from Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Spain, Portugal, the USA, New Zealand, Armenia and South Africa. The range encompasses still wines and sparkling wines (Franciacorta and Alta Langa), sweet wines and passitos, and a selection of natural wines, as well as liqueurs and spirits, among which Cognac, Armagnac, brandy, grappa, fruit brandies, whisky, gin, rum and tequila.
There are bottles for every pocket and unbottled Piedmontese and Veneto unbottled wines, kept in steel tanks and sold in practical bags in boxes. You’ll also find a selection of Italian and overseas craft beers, packaged savoury and sweet snacks, and a choice of cheeses from small-scale affineurs.
Opening hours: Monday-Saturday 8.30am-12.45pm; 3pm-7.30pm.
