Francesca Marrari graduated in Business Administration at Turin University in 2012 but had frequented her family’s gelateria from an early age. In 2015, when she decided to join the business full time with the help of Federico Maina, she put the meticulousness she had shown in her studies at the service of the gelateria. After attending a series of courses, she became a teacher herself and since 2017 has won numerous awards in local and national competitions. The award-winning Miami Vice, one of the most popular flavours, combines the sweetness of coconut and pineapple with the tartness of wild strawberries, while Vittorio Veneto consists of plain chocolate sorbet and blueberry with a rosemary infusion. The bergamot sorbet pays homage to the family’s Calabrian origins and the lavender-blueberry combo has won widespread consensus. Twenty-four ice creams and eight granitas are on sale every day. The granitas come in classic Sicilian-inspired flavours (almond, pistachio and mulberry) and in original variants (apricot and basil, and damson, a pure delight). The product range is rounded off by individual semifreddos, modern cakes with glossy icing, cannoli and excellent miniature cornets and ice lollies.
