Guido Gobino has been in the chocolate business for 60 years, having opened his celebrated factory at Via Cagliari 15, Turin, in 1964. Since then his creative flair and above all his constant pursuit of the finest ingredients have made his brand one of the best-known and popular worldwide, and a symbol of the Turinese art of chocolate making.
The best cacao, strictly PGI trilobate “tonda gentile” hazelnuts, milk from the Piedmontese Alpine supply chain, “bean to bar” artisanal production techniques – these are the chief factors of a chocolate that has won countless awards. Gobino’s Tourinot has won over palates more than the classic gianduiotto, his salted cremino (mini chocolate sandwiche), created in 2008, was named “best praline in the world” by the Academy of Chocolate in London”, and his extra bitter specialities have travelled to outer space with Luca Parmitano’s and Paolo Nespoli’s Volare and Vita missions. Gobino also makes chocolates for Giorgio Armani, distributed by the Armani/Dolci by Guido Gobino line.
