The Fioraso family have run this craft chocolate business for over 70 years. It was a romantic love story in the last century that originated the name, Cri cri, an icon of the Turin tradition during the Belle Époque. The Cri cri is a PGI hazelnut praline coated with chocolate and sugar nonpareils, typical of the festive season and sold in elegant gift boxes. Bon bon is a version with coloured sugar and a new packaging design is on the way with a comic strip narrating the legend.
They put the same care into their assorted gluten-free dragées, classic, truffled, with ginger and with pistachio, and four types of giandujotti: classic, plain, pistachio and coffee. A new entry is Giandutondo, coated with the same paste but round in shape and with a hazelnut inside.
The shop also sells cream spreads (plain, gianduja with 50% hazelnuts, and pistachio), chocolate bars in various shapes and sizes, the giant Gianduione and a giandujotto cream liqueur in a bottle shaped like the Mole Antonelliana. Another novelty is the three-layer cremino with a minimum of 40% hazelnuts.
