Active since 2000, this gelateria is situated in a busy, strategically placed centre on the outskirts of Turin, a junction from which roads lead to the Susa Valley, Rivoli, the Lanzo Valleys and Turin itself. Thanks to the enterprise of the man who opened it and the collaboration of Anna Salvo and their team, the place has become a pole of attraction for lovers of excellent ices.
Day by day, you can sample their ice cream made with fresh seasonal fruit, organic milk from a symbiotic farm in the province of Cuneo, free-range eggs from a poultry farm in the mountains above Val della Torre, and select Italian and overseas ingredients. It’s possible to enjoy the ice cream in situ but also to have it home-delivered at certain times of the day in eco-sustainable packaging.
Some of the coffee on sale comes from Fairtrade producers, and the artisan brioches, cakes and semifreddos are also available gluten and lactose-free. Be sure to try La lampadina, the typical Alpignano cake dedicated to Alessandro Cruto, who invented the incandescent lamp and established a factory to produce it here.
