This establishment celebrated eight years in the business at the start of summer 2024. It was in June 2016, in fact, when the modern “agrigelateria” was opened in this large farmhouse in the middle of the countryside, just a short distance from Turin. The Porporata project was a natural continuation of the work of La Cerettese, a dairy farm specialised in Frisian cattle, whose milk goes into the ice cream.
The restructured farmhouse is very popular with families, who come to enjoy the ice cream sitting at the wood picnic tables while their children have fun running and playing in the meadow or taking part in special educational activities and “meeting” the animals. The range of customers is very diverse thanks to a packed programme of meetings and activities – from yoga to aperitifs, from book presentations to confectionery workshops – and to the pleasant atmosphere. Not forgetting, of course, the superb ice cream. We recommend both the classic and the more creative flavours, such as La Porporata with black cherries, chocolate, and Piedmontese amaretti, and Stracciabella, milk and gianduiotto cream.
