This gelateria has changed premises. Now, 15 years on, it has now moved from its original location in the Galleria Subalpina to the nearby Via Cesare Battisti. All the ice cream continues to be made according to the project’s underlying philosophy: the use of fresh, excellently sourced ingredients of certified origin. With the exception of the Sicilian pistachios and cacao from South America, they all come from the Piedmontese supply chain: hence seasonal fruit from the farmers’ cooperatives of the Valle Varaita, and PGI Piedmontese hazelnuts, milk and cream, which arrive fresh every day from an agricultural consortium. Established by the Cooperativa Ass.i.s.te, specialised in the social welfare and educational sector, the business is run by master gelatier Alfio Tarateta and pursues gastronomic excellence while also embracing solidarity and cooperation. Seasonal flavours include white coffee, melon, traditional Piedmontese persi pien (stuffed peach), pear and hazelnut.
