In 2023, this family farm, set on land that has always been given over to vine growing in the Turin hills, on the border of the Monferrato district in the province of Asti, celebrated its centenary. Matteo and Federico Rossotto manage it with great passion alongside their father Stefano and produce high-quality wines. Bottles rest in the lovely 18th-century cellars under the villa that houses the farm’s agriturismo, Tenuta La Serra, where it is served with traditional dishes made with local ingredients. The most characteristic wine is Freisa, young and sparking, superiore and rosé, while La Marchesina is a very good Metodo Classico spumante made with freisa grapes. Completing the range are Barbera, traditional and superior, made with grapes form the old vines, Nebbiolo Albugnano aged in the bottle, Bonarda, il Cortese, Malvasia di Castelnuovo Don Bosco, and a splendid fresh, fragrant varietal Sauvignon. The farm and the cellars are open for visits.
